HSI Parents & Guardians,

In the month of September, we will be holding our Meet the Teacher Night. It is very important that we establish a strong parent-teacher connection at the beginning of the school year. In an effort to increase parent participation, we would like you to fill out a brief survey, letting us know the day and time that works best for you.

**This survey will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7th **

There will be no school on Monday, September 3rd in celebration of Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 4th at 7:55 a.m.

In order to ensure the safety of our students, starting Monday, August 27th, HSI will no longer walk students to the elementary and high school campuses. Instead, all elementary siblings will be picked up from the Green Zone and all high school siblings will be dismissed from the cafeteria using the GroupMe App.Parents will still follow the same route for pick up (please refer to the map located at the bottom of this email). Please have your dismissal tag ready so that your child will be out on time.

If your child has a high school sibling and they walk home, the high school sibling must come to the Innovation campus to pick your child up.

Please note, HSI dismissal starts at 3:10 pm.

All HSI-Houston students qualify for free breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. If you have any questions, please contact our Lunch Clerk Mrs. Rincon at crincon@harmonytx.org

In our continued efforts to ensure the safety and security of our students, all 8th-graders at HSI-Houston are required to carry only Clear Backpacks at all times. We do not have enough space for every student to have a locker, therefore our school will be providing you one clear backpack, for free to only the 8th grade students. Please note that if the provided backpack is damaged or lost, parents will be responsible for a replacement. Your student will be issued the backpack during the first week of school. Students may carry a pouch small enough to fit into the front pocket of the backpack for personal items. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (713)541-3030.
