HSI will commemorate Black History with a Spirit Week taking place February 25th through March 4th.
Monday, February 25th – Black heritage BLACK OUT. Students are encouraged to wear any positive slogan shirt promoting Black Heritage or they may also wear all black clothing. Please reference the pictures shown below.
Tuesday, February 26th – Girls Club is hosting a movie night featuring “The Great Debaters”. Movie tickets are $3 and snacks will be available for sale starting at $1. Movie will start at 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, February 27th – Parent Teacher Conferences – No school for students.
Thursday, February 28th – All students are encouraged to wear their cultural attire.
UPDATE: The Black History Show will be held on Monday, March 4th. 1st show will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the 2nd show will be from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Our Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday, February 27th. There will be no school for students on this day. Meetings with teachers will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. & 12:40 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. Please keep in mind these are a quick meeting with the teachers and are scheduled to last only 10 minutes. Please contact your student’s teachers regarding scheduling via e-mail or you may call our front office.
Registration for all campuses will begin on Monday, February 25th.

This means that your child is offered a seat from the campus.
Starting on Monday, February 25th, you will have 2 business days to accept the placement at a campus.
Accept Placement:
If you accept placement at our campus, you will forfeit placement at all other campuses. You will have 10
business days to complete the registration process which includes: filling out the registration forms and submitting all required
documentation such as proof of residence, transcripts, discipline records, immunizations, and student identification.
Decline Placement:
If you decline placement, you will be removed from that Harmony campus lottery list only.
Wait List:
This means that your child is placed on the wait list for the campus. As students accept/decline spots on the offered
list, your child will move up. If your child moves up to the offered list, the system will send you a message through Smart Choice.

Clubs and tutorials are canceled the week of February 19 to February 22 due to STAAR Practice. All activities will resume on February 25th.
All students will be taking a practice STAAR on February 20th-February 25th.

It is important that students get a good night sleep, eat breakfast and are on school on time for test days. We want each student to be well-rested and ready to be their very best.
There will be no school on Friday, February 15th due to Staff Training and Monday, February 18th due to Student Holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 19th at 7:55 a.m.

The Scholastic Book Fair is here from Monday, February 4th- Friday, February 8th. Our book fair is located in the library and it is open to everyone from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Book fairs are a perfect opportunity to stock up on books for your student to read at home.
